The West Virginia High School Business Competition engages young minds to solve West Virginia's greatest issues. Students have the unique opportunity to make a business idea come to life with the support of WVU's John Chambers College of Business & Economics for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, WV Secondary Education, and seasoned business professionals from around the country.

Enter the West Virginia High School Business Plan Competition

Students: Help us solve the state's greatest issues by developing a business plan! Learn how to move a business idea from conception to action with the help of seasoned business professionals. One (1) $1,000 grant for finalist team’s classroom and the opportunity to pitch your idea to investors. Higher Education Institutions will also be present at the finals with scholarship opportunities. 

Teachers: Promote business education and innovation in your school by coaching a team in the High School Business Plan Competition! Every finalist team receives a $1,000 stipend for teachers to use in their classroom!

Why Compete?

Get the education, skills, contacts, and motivation necessary to solve West Virginia's greatest issues by starting a business. The winner will receive a one (1) $1,000 grant for finalist team’s classroom and the opportunity to pitch your idea to investors. Higher Education Institutions will also be present at the finals with scholarship opportunities.
